Formal Dyslexia Assessments
Often a formal diagnosis provides a starting point for dyslexic learners and we are keen to be there throughout the journey of understanding strengths and supporting weaknesses.
Watch the video below to find out more:
Face to Face Dyslexia Assessments
£525 - Whitstable, Kent.
The diagnostic process for dyslexia is significantly detailed and, prior to the day of assessment, requires an input from parents and the individual’s school. When an assessment is for an adult, an input is just required from the individual.
On the day of the assessment, a specialist assessor of dyslexia will meet the learner and begin using a battery of assessments which involve investigating underlying verbal and visual ability, working memory, processing speed, phonological awareness, reading, writing and spelling ability of an individual. These tests take approximately 2 to 3 hours with the learner having breaks as required.
We recognise this is a significant length of time for young learners and try to make the assessments as relaxed as possible.
Once the assessments have been completed, a comprehensive report will be written and sent to you 3-4 weeks after the assessment.
A booking fee of £150 is required with a balance payment due 48 hours before assessment.
Remote Dyslexia Assessments
£525 - Across UK
The remote assessment requires similar steps to the face to face assessment. The only difference is that it will take place virtually and is therefore available nationally.
There is a requirement to complete the assessment on a device larger than a phone screen.
A booking fee of £150 is required with a balance payment due 48 hours before assessment.
Child Dyslexia Screening
£150 - Whitstable, Kent.
We provide screening for children aged between 6-16 years.
The screening process is a face to face assessment which takes approximately 1 hour to complete. Assessments take place in Whitstable, Kent.
After the screening has taken place a report is generated which will be sent within one week. If dyslexic signs are seen, a list of recommended strategies is provided.
Screening does not provide a formal diagnosis of dyslexia but gives an indication of possible dyslexic difficulties. It can provide an indication of whether further investigation is needed.
Payment is due at time of booking.

A learning profile assessment consists of a number of tests to determine working memory, processing speed, reading speed, reading accuracy, comprehension and spelling.
The learning profile can be completed in a face to face or virtual environment. It takes approximately 1 hour to complete.
After the assessment, a 4 page report is written which will be sent within one week. A list of recommended strategies and interventions is provided within the document.
