A workplace exam is approaching. You’re about to start university. And you’ve realised that the difficulties you’ve managed for years may be dyslexia.
If you need answers within a short timeframe, a fast-track adult dyslexia assessment may help you take the next step.
At This is Dyslexia, I offer a limited number of fast-track appointments for adults, with diagnostic reports available within 24 or 48 hours of the assessment, subject to availability.
When might a fast-track assessment be useful?
Deadlines have a way of bringing long-standing difficulties into focus. You might be preparing for a professional qualification and worried about the timed exam. Or perhaps you’re starting university and want to understand your learning profile before your course begins.
A fast-track assessment may be useful if you:
Have an upcoming workplace or professional exam
Need a report for a university support or Disabled Students’ Allowance application
Are starting a course and want to discuss support early
Need clear recommendations to share with an employer
If an exam or application deadline is close, contact the organisation first. Ask what evidence it requires and when it must be submitted. Assessment providers can prepare a report quickly, but universities, employers and exam bodies make their own decisions about support and adjustments.
What happens during the assessment?
You’ll have a one-to-one diagnostic assessment lasting approximately two to two and a half hours, available online or in person in Canterbury, Kent.
We’ll explore areas including memory, processing, reading, writing and language skills. I’ll also ask about your experiences in education and at work. The aim is to understand the full pattern: where your strengths lie, what you find difficult, and whether that pattern is consistent with dyslexia.
Your report will explain the findings and include personalised recommendations for study or work. A fast-track appointment gives you the same careful assessment process with an earlier report deadline.
How much does it cost?
Fast-track adult assessments are available at:
Within 24 hours of assessment: £700
Within 48 hours of assessment: £640
